New York City / 5-Day Trip

New York City - Times SquareWe are headed to NEW YORK CITY for the fourth time and it is sure to be a great! Our first day will take us to Riverdale Farm Campground in Clinton, CT where we will get ready to go into the city in the morning. This first day splits the long trip up and gets us in a good position for getting into the city the following day. We will relax at camp this first night with a good camp meal, possibly a swim and games.

There is always so much to see in NYC and this requires a LOT of WALKING. We will spend two nights at Liberty Harbor RV, which is located just across the Hudson River with a commanding view of Manhattan. This will allow us to spend two complete days exploring the city. When we arrive in the city we will begin with a driving tour (in our bus) of upper and mid Manhattan including areas like Harlem. We will then spend the rest of the day in the Times Square / Midtown area including some time in Central Park.

The second day in NYC we will take public transportation back into the city starting in Lower Manhattan. We will see a lot this day (mostly by foot..) including such places as Ground Zero, Chinatown, High Line Park, Wall Street and the Statue of Liberty from the Staten Island Ferry. But some of the best will be saved for last as we go to see a Broadway Show - Peter and the Starcatcher!

On day four we will leave the city and drive north to Lee, NH and Wadleigh Falls Campground where we will enjoy our final night at camp. The last day we will cool off at Water Country Water Park in Portsmouth, NH.
