Sometimes we can look back over life and believe that
it is comprised of a series of unrelated events
and experiences, a mismatch of activities if you will.
Until becoming involved in the formation of
SWA, I was beginning to get this feeling. Now, however, I
have found the perfect avenue to share with others the many
skills
that I have acquired through doing the things that I love.
When I was eleven I began taking trips with a local outing
group. These trips
have had a profound and life-long effect on me. As I grew,
my role in the outing group evolved from that of participant
to leader. My desire is to offer
these life enhancing experiences to other kids and came to
believe firmly in the practice of leading by example
and then giving others the opportunity
to excel.
I attribute much of my personal success and happiness in life
to a solid foundation of self confidence created
in part through these experiences and hope to help others realize
their own potential to succeed in
any
endeavor.
